misconception about tides

First of all let me tell you moon is not capable of lifting ocean there is misconception about it.

Gravitational pull exerted by moon is 1/10 million of earth gravity.

Now question arises how tides are created.

Actually moon exerted equal force on everything on earth regardless their masses. So why not there is tide in a cup of tea.

How it all works;-

Moon gravity pull everything toward it even complete earth.

Net resultant of both of force act tangentially remember these forces are microscopic .

These microscopic force add up and just squeeze the water as it keeps on increasing toward end that cause a tide.
